Although I wasnt a fan of the g10 ban I get why it had to be done and the modding around here has been quite solid lately.

I would say he was the single most disruptive poster on the forum and has been for a long time.

Even if he was sincere in everything he posted, which he obviously wasn't, he always chose to post in the way that would most derail discussion, or would most insult other posters.

I can't believe it didn't happen sooner, especially when you consider how many people ITT have already posted that they're happy he's gone.

i have to admit i did enjoy him popping into threads to start the LT vs. WR debate with phildo, but honestly i have no clue why he wasn't banned 4 years ago.

epi not getting much support around here. even bitchface bitched out on him. well, i for one, support freeing epi. forum is def worse without him.

he tiptoes the line a ton--when he's not deliberately being hyperbolic-- and while the post in question is meh, the body of work speaks for itself. i prob wouldn't have banned him, but it's hard to argue against it overall and i can't fault people for being fed up with him

I think he'd take that as a compliment. He tries as hard as possible to be unlikable. Does't mean I think he should be banned though.

I don't think the discussion suffers. The discussion is a lot worse when everyone is just jerking themselves off and derping the same consensus crap.

On the rare times he is wrong about something, it will bring about some good posts by people trying to prove him wrong. I'm not trying to say the guy is Socrates (even though he may be as annoying), but he's still a fine addition to the forum.

epipen was awful. in the current nfl thread he posted some link to what I assume was an awful article then when people correctly ignored it he would start quoting himself again and be "WHY IS NO ONE RESPONDING"

I'd swear there's an option between "everyone agrees on everything" and "one person deliberately posts specious arguments and attacks people's intelligence just to piss everyone off".

Well I think he does it to make himself feel smarter more than to piss people off, that just happens coincidentally. Anyway, he's pretty easily igorable and funny on the times when you agree with him (which I'd argue should be more often than not). I guess you'd argue that most won't ignore him and that will derail discuss. Fair enough I guess, but like Pudge said, I'm sure he'll end up being back anyway.

Those who hate on epi, obviously haven't skyped with him. That tone that you hate on, you will have came to appreciate, just like the skype crew has.

Which is pretty silly either way. I mean, I'm of the school that if you want to feel smart, say something smart, don't just deliberately insult people and try to make them feel stupid. It doesn't help discussion at all; we're not here to prop up his insecure ego.
Yeah, I mean, I've had him on ignore for a while (though I check it out if a post is interesting and/or specific to a discussion I'm having), but you still have plenty of people who won't ignore him, or won't let it go. And really if the best thing you can say about a guy on a forum is "He's not too disruptive if you ignore him", he probably needs to go.
