Really? So do you just ignore that he has a massive substance abuse problem because you liked watching him wrestle? Seems like he started abusing drugs and alcohol during his career, so its not even like a post career addiction to pain killers/drugs like what commonly afflicts ex-athletes who end up like that. I can at least feel some sympathy and sadness when you see a former great who deals with the pain of his playing days by guzzling gallons of booze a week. Or all these recent hockey player deaths due to depression, probably caused by repeated hits to the head.
Most of us were in elementary or middle school at the time. I know I was unaware that these guys were hopped up on painkillers/amphetamines/booze, and I'm sure many other fans of my age (the most predominant segment of viewers) were in the dark too. No one is ignoring that he has a massive problem, but we just didn't know until we matured.

I think I am just a few years older than you, I mean I thought everyone knew they were on roids, but yeah I guess the other stuff was unknown at that age.
the reason so many wrestlers have substance abuse problems is because it is insanely hard on the body. they have very few days off and are essentially expected to wrestle injured. ken shamrock, who was a pro mma fighter and a wrestler in wwf said that wrestling was far tougher.

Most painful finisher = Ganso bomb
burning hammer tho
first one is just ridic. nobody does head dropping like all japan.
edit: on wrestlemania 2000 and no mercy on n64 all my created characters would have a ganso bomb as their front special and a burning hammer as their back special. i had never seen all japan at the time but i knew those moves were ****ing nuts. it was funny how lame the wwf finishers were compared the ones they left in from the all japan version of the game.

yes no mercy was great although getting 100% on the career mode was f impossible without a guide
Career mode was horrible. Too many handicap matches where you basically had to scam the game to win. I just liked making CAWs and putting on good matches. It was a pretty easy game if you just went all out and abused the taunt function and would win in 2 minutes- but if you actually paced it like you were working a match- it could be challenging and really fun.
