Jerry is somewhat of a celebrity and lives in Manhattan. Yeah he had a million hot women but I was never surprised. It's George, OTOH, that made no sense. How the **** he got anyone was beyond me.

Jerry is a successful comedian, if he can't pull women, no one can

Well, you can learn something from it. In one year at the age of 37 I gained 40 pounds from living in a hotel in Chico, CA because I was working on a wildfire case.

You should all be pleased to know that I have lost that 40 pounds in the last 18 months and weigh in at 210. That's 10 pounds over my playing weight for football and baseball over 20 years ago.

Yay Oski! (Oski not ugly by the way. Even when fat - he is all that).

Yes you did.

Reason: Being stupid is not correctable.

if he is only dating women who are not hot or simply equivalent to an average comedian's pull, who is going to watch that crappy show?

That is a great point, but that was not what I was talking about. See, the whole context of the original comment was presented in a lame thread in a Seinfeldesque manner as more of a joke than anything - a harmless observation that appears to impart more importance towards the one making than observation than the situation would demand.

Little did I know that OOT is full of guys that really care about such stuff and cannot see the intended irony of the comment in a thread about Seinfeld.

This Dudd post near the end the Seinfeld thread is solid:

The worst part about this thread is that Tyler Durden will now point to this awesome thread he started the next time someone points out that he's terrible.

yeah it was other people that really cared about it. not you though, which explains why you had 107 posts in that thread

Phillo. Doh.

Stats is just not your thing. They do say something, but you don't know what they mean.

Yeah, I honestly stated that I don't really care about the initial issue. I had never thought about it prior to making that initial post, and I have never thought about it after the thread was closed. Sorry if that ruins your database.

I do like to argue over stuff, even minor, stupid stuff - just like Seinfeld. That is why I like the show (which was one of its primarly points). Not all of us watch it to see what zany antics Newman and Kramer are up to (even though they really did some zany, zany stuff!)

It's also very funny Oski posted this given the most recent season of Curb.

Real Jerry obviously is not superficial as proven by most of the women he is linked with (publicly) in RL.

Great find: However, points 1 and 2 were not mine. They were consensus positions leading up to 3 which was my argument.

Pudge. Personally, I don't have any idea why you are so compelled to involve yourself in some of these debates. Honestly, from what I have read of you, I think you might be one of the brightest (if not the brightest) people in OOT and SE (for what its worth). I read your OOTTV posts and know that you are very well read and quite adept at literary criticism. I have no idea how you cannot recognize the false braggadocio and satire that most my "arguments" are intended to be. That amazes me considering how well you pick up similar things in movies, books, etc.

Anyway, I have always wondered about that (as well as your "go-to" "he's going to tell everyone he's a lawyer" bit, which is demonstrably false and in which you persist).

If you really hadn't cared about it you wouldn't have posted in that thread in the first place. You would have scanned over the thread without bothering to open it, because.... you dont care. Phildo is right. Obviously once you open the thread and actually post in it, you care to some degree about it, even if that amount is very small.

Any East Coast radiohead fans manage to defy all odds and get tickets to one of the nyc shows? In all reality, they should be playing MSG like they did when i saw them in 2003.
Radiohead sells out two shows in pretty much one minute

Good call. My original statement in that thread is what started the debate. Up to that point, the thread had about 15 posts. After that, it was about my comment.

By the way, just because you read something doesn't mean you care about it. Have you ever been eating a bowl of cereal and happened to find yourself reading the side of the box? Did you really care what the box said?

i can't say i've ever read the side of a cereal box and then written a 10,000 word essay about it

I'm not saying this was, like, on your list of priorities for the day. Obviously it peaked your interest enough to check out the thread and respond. That's all I said.

Maybe we're just arguing semantics. Although, I would say (even though both are at the very bottom of a "caring scale") actively reading 2+2, going into OOT, and then opening that particular thread and responding to it is a little higher on the "caring scale" than reading the side/back of a cereal box just because it's sitting there next to you while you're eating. Yes, I know that's nitty, but I know that you can tell the difference.

Even me responding to you right now, as nitty and irrelevant as it may be, there is a certain level of caring... otherwise I wouldn't be responding, right?

Anyway, I think you can appreciate the difference since you enjoy Seinfeld.

Sigh.

I'm usually good with that, too. Now I feel like one of those people who constantly say "I could care less" when they really mean "I couldn't care less".

shouldn't they increase the price of the tickets if they sell out in one minute?

what bull****, I'm sure the reasoning is something like "we can't let only the wealthier ones go", right, like letting the ones with better internet connection/mouse/reflexes(sp?) is more fair. Why would they prefer a guy who clicked faster rather than a guy who had to save cash for a long time to see them there?

Also many tickets will be resold anyway, so instead of the band, it's some smart guys making the extra buck. Nonsense.

You're talking about a band that let their fans choose how much they wanted to pay for a CD, if anything. They really don't care brah.

Yeah. Understand that opening a thread, reading about it, and making a half-hearted comment, is not much of anything.

Once that comment starts a long debate, it will generate a lot of posts. I already stated I enjoy arguing about irrelevant things (like now). So, I became interested in the argument even though I didn't really care about the subject of the argument. So, showing "x" number of posts in a thread does not relate to my level of interest in the subject at hand. (Trust me, if it mattered to me, I would just tell you it did.)
