this looks like a troll, but it isn't. When I played video games, on my PC I could go with: blizzard titles (diablo/starcraft/warcraft), fallouts, heroes of might and magic, settlers, quake, unreal, all the other godlike games.

At the same time my console friends played their millionth platform game/need for speed 54, and that was it. PS3/360 deliver, but the previous consoles' games were all similar and for-kids

would recommend the movie Big Fan...came out in '09

basically the story of greeeeeear as a giants fan

Sandlot people: I guess the movie came out when many of you were like six years old or whatever so there's a nostalgia factor, the same way that say St. Elmo's Fire is with me (or Butch Cassidy is with Cl.ark) so it's hard to be objective, but it's VORM isn't much above average. Denis Leary as the father is also a little weird but that's not a huge issue.

Sid Meier is the man, I wasted more hours than I can count on Civilization II and III

My entirety of console ownership went NES -> SNES -> Sega Genesis, but I also had a PC from an early age and was a huge fan of the puzzle-solving graphic-adventure games (Sierra's Space Quest series in particular).

lol, i remember playing those in the arcade, where it'd have like a bunch of games to pick from. the baseball one was pretty good, iirc.

looking the Neo Geo up also reminded me of the TurboGrafx-16 for some reason, a friend of mine had that. don't remember too much either than Bonk's Adventure was a fun game.

and remember Sega Saturn/CD? think my cousin's got those, what a terrible waste of money (as far as i know), like buying a Laser Disc player. Dreamcast was pretty cool though.

Unless you were ridiculously rich, no one had a Neo Geo console at home.

I went Bally Astrocade -> NES -> SNES | Genesis -> Nintendo 64 -> no longer interested in console gaming and went to PC dominant gaming.

No surprise that they're taking a lot of creative liberties in the film, but Gleeman wrote a very positive review for Hardball Talk a few days ago and said that there were "8-10 moments where the entire audience laughed out loud." Just watched Happy Gilmore on the rec of a friend. Shooter is an A+ troll. Must be the glory days of Adam Sandler before his movies turned to ****. Give it 7/10. Something tells me his gf is still elite today.

I have no idea when Keith Law made the change from Baseball Prospectus writer to giant idiot who hates everything about sabermetrics, but he's worse off as a result.

ETA: Though his 2009 NL Cy Young ballot got them haters mad, which I enjoyed.
