Just got a text message informing me the 108k law school is closed for the day due to the earthquake.

Stay tuned for more Karak earthquake updates all day long.

If I never set foot in a law school what are the odds I eventually pass a bar exam in a random state? I was 99th percentile on the last major standardized test I took (ACT, lol) if that helps!

Well, I roomed with a former poster/mod on the road occasionally who told stories about how he got straight Bs despite never attending a class. He said he had some book that taught him how to do it but I forget the name.

When you pay 500k/year for a law school you expect it to be open through earthquakes, even if classes aren't in session.

When I was in college I used to get wicked hammered. My nickname was puke. I would chug a fifth of socos, sneak into a frat party, polish off a few people's empties, some brewskies, some Jell-O shots, do some body shots off myself, pass out, wake up the next morning, puke, rally, more soco, head to class. Probably would have gotten expelled if I had let it affect my grades, but I aced all my courses. They called me Ace. It was totally awesome. Got straight B's. They called me Buzz.

also you basically have to be conscious to maintain a B average in most law schools with the curves these days. they simply hate failing people. they'll only fail you if they absolutely have to (i'm excluding skewls like cooley). Fs = less $$ for law skewl.

a B in law school (assuming 3.3 curve) is like a C in undergrad. a B+ is like a B-/B, an A- is like a B+, etc.

you gotta try, hard, to get a C in most MBA classes. every once in awhile you get the rare teacher who doesn't play by the rules and gives them out, but in 95% of MBA classes A is standard and B is like a C, as you say.

I got a C- in finance (lowest passing) but totally deserved a D or F. Just didn't feel like doing jack **** that semester.
