Community doesn't have this problem. AD sets up jokes like 4 episodes in advance (see the Arm Off pic above). Even watching AD weekly it is tough to have the memory required to get all the jokes in AD. It is really the perfect show to grind through on DVD because your memory is fresh enough to get all the jokes.

This is the narrative that people generally bring up, but imo the more true narrative is. FOX realized AD was great, they also realized it was getting ****ty ratings so they kept shuffling it around in an attempt to somehow make it a hit, but it never worked.
