Does bobbo still hang around these parts? I'd like to let him know I DL'ed Radiohead's discography and I'm not really impressed. After Pablo Honey and OK Computer I'm already kind of burnt out on them, and I liked a few of their songs going in. Some of it seems truly awful on the first listen.

Pablo Honey is terrible. I don't know why you started with an album that the band themselves basically disowned.

The Bends - OK Computer - Kid A is the peak of their work IMO, but all their albums starting with The Bends have at least some merit.

I just don't get how a high school kid doesn't identify with the alienation expressed in OK Computer. I wonder if it has something to do with OK Computer being made in 1997, when the anxiety over technology's role in splitting us from our humanity was more prevalent, vs. 2011 now, when we're all practically fused to machines.

Not that album in particular, but when I listened to them for a week or so a few years back I got into them because of that theme in Creep.

I very rarely decide I like/hate a song the first time I hear it (I wasn't particularly fond of Pink Floyd or Kid Cudi the first time I was exposed to them) so this is still very up in the air. I just thought it was kind of funny that my first impression was "meh" when I know bobbo lurves them.
