In case that wasn't clear, I challenge Not Lolo, and all his other accounts past and present, to an OOT-style survivor contest in which the loser is no longer allowed to post in the Sporting Events forum.

Try reporting posts or threads, Skippy. I think Clark is away, I've been semi-absent from this forum for a few days, and MEbenhoe lives in the shadows so you never know if he's watching or not. I didn't see that thread at all until your post.

I think we should try making you a mod for a day though, just to see if you accidentally ban yourself.

It would be really, really cool if anyone posting stats, standings, or other numerical data would use the code tags.

Code:
YEAR G MIN PER TS% eFG%
---------------------------------
1989-90 78 2830 22.7 .643 .570
Makes the numbers far more readable (even if a given argument is totally specious).

Just want to say that I think its awesome that we got through the olympics without one ban for bashing someone else's country and whatnot.

Well, after spending my time on exile Island I am happy to be back.

Clark, let the record reflect that I was not trolling, I was mocking. So I believe that the list of violations should be changed to note I was mocking not trolling. You know, I do have a reputation to protect around here. :P

Was I expecting to be banned for my post? No. The particular poster I was mocking is notorious for mocking many other posters on this board. That said I am sure that the lackeys of our resident sports board know-it-all reported my post like good little lackeys do, and Clark handed out his Texas style justice. Which I accept. Am I sorry? Naw, but I paid my price for my apparent crime. I am Looking forward to talking about sports.

Time to move forward.

I think that we need some more random CFB threads, we are really lacking in that department lately.

Part of the problem of course is that right now is probably the busiest time of the year, period: end of the NFL season and upcoming playoffs, CFB having rivalry weeks and upcoming bowl games, NBA and NHL in full swing (while these aren't huge on this forum there are probably ten NBA team season threads actively competing for space), and now NCAA basketball has started. It's a lot of competition for front page thread space - too bad the number of threads can't be expanded - and then there are a bunch of threads that aren't really clear whether they are any good or not, like "Alabama or Florida", or that can't or shouldn't be discussed in catch-all threads. Complicated times, these.

I think there was briefly awhile back some discussion of breaking off football - presumably both NFL and CFB - because of its popularity, but I don't like that because in the offseason it's not much of a forum hog and I think it takes too many eyeballs off the main forum. I'd almost certainly support moving any and all fantasy content to a subforum though, since people who don't play them find those discussions annoying and it's almost certainly not likely to siphon off any regular posters for good. An additional benefit is that there would probably be a lot more fantasy discussion since it has a forum of its own in which to "breathe".

How about a combined soccer and motorsports subforum so that I wouldn't have to bother sifting through most of the **** that doesn't interest me?
