I get USA Today at the hotel I stay at for work. Holy **** is that paper awful.

They have a tilt-inducing interview with Tim Tebow about his "memoirs". Memoirs? Really? Reminds me of the Chris Rock bit on saying Tupac and BIG got assassinated. The story apparently starts at his conception (!) and goes through his private life outside football, with tons of religious bull**** so it's not even technically a memoir. The headline is "In a charmed life, Tebow still plays underdog".

Also, the top gives a teaser about the Stanley Cup Finals with the headline "Oh, Canada..." and features a picture of ... Ryan Kesler. Here's another pic of Kesler:
Spoiler:

It's obvious what they mean, even spelled out below the headline, but it's perfect that the person they chose for the picture shows why nobody should give a **** about the angle they're taking.

By the way, is this the first time the NBA finals ever started before the Stanley Cup finals? It's the only time I can remember it happening, historically it seems the NHL playoffs both start and end about a week before the NBA, but this time they started a few days earlier and are about 50/50 to end later.

i think its because a series in every round of the NHL playoffs went 7 and that only happened once in the NBA playoffs

True, but I also thought that the NBA had a fixed date for the start of the finals, at least in recent years. Kind of aggravating they don't just move on to the next series ASAP but I suppose there are venue scheduling considerations (e.g. the Oprah thing) so it's not as easy as it seems.

I was once driving with kkcountry in his subdivison, he was doing 25 and some parents (child playing in the front yard) went ape ****, was screaming, threw her shoe at his car and chased him down to his house where kkc proceeded to get yelled at by his parents.

Since when did we allow Canadians in the spelling bee? It's bad enough that everyone else is an Indian immigrant, now we aren't even making them get a green card? Also, wtf, they show the word on screen as they're spelling, this is worse than the phone calls during the NFL draft.

there have been jamaicans in it, too. but yeah, canadians in the spelling bee is pretty outrageous. they probably say 'zed'.

the word on screen while spelling is better than past years where they would put the word up before they started spelling (iirc)

I changed my mind, it was all worth it to have the color guy describe the 3 time defending Canadian champion as now being on a much bigger stage. Take that Canada, your puny Bee means nothing to us
