Another contributing factor might be I watched the first season doing cardio on my iPad at the gym. So I'm sure I'm missing some of the experience. Also I don't know if wrenching drama is the best fit for cardio. Mindless heart-pumping stuff like Surviving the Cut seems to work a lot better. I just wish it had more episodes. Wipeout is pretty good too.

By the way in addition to watching it at the gym, I'm also a weirdo I guess. The Wire is the only scripted TV I've watched since I stopped watching The Office 2-3 years ago. My DVR is all documentaries and stuff like Mythbusters, No Reservations and The Daily Show. So if a scripted show can captivate my interest at all it's pretty impressive.

I don't know/care about any SZ (first I've ever heard that term) cliquishness, was mostly curious how the thread got to that many posts that quickly and whether it was worth reading.

Yeah staring out in space when you're on a treadmill for an hour is so much better. I've been watching Surviving the Cut. It's super motivating and the time just flies by.
