as I said in previous posts around SE. It was pretty much a failure. I couldnt get the green short enough for it to be in good putting condition. I may buy some kind of roller to flatten the green but It loooks like I will be going to my local golf course to play golf

Help me come up with list of unspoken rules for fan opinions. For example:

If a fan favorite is traded, the incoming player will be criticized for his play much more than a player with similar value. The inverse is also true. If a detested player is traded, the incoming player will get a free pass for an extended period of time.

Fanbases always hate teams that eliminated them from the playoffs

Fanbases will ironically root for young players who are unique in some way- white RBs like Woodhead, black hockey players like Subban, etc.

does this count? fanbases in football and basketball will always compare white players to white players, and black players to black players. ditto hockey, but with hockey it's nationalities to nationalities (as well as black to black)

obvious fan rules?:

- everyone loving the crappy guy who tries really, really, really hard
- preference for guys on cheap contracts (in capped leagues), and massive scrutiny for guys making big money
- rooting for the local guy, skepticism for the dirty foreigner
- guy getting an extended free pass (and in many cases a big, new contract) for a good performance in a big game, that is really an aberration

maybe not what you're looking for Etats, couldn't really think of any good ones. maybe i need to spend more time around casual fans (probably will starting next week, so maybe i'll report back later).
