karak seems like a good choice. Nothing would be more interesting than constant 2k word posts on what karak's law professor thinks about the constitution and how it relates to the FAQ thread and temp bans.

Did you guys know he was a former federal judge?

Just got home. Lost $150. Oh well.

As a neutral observer Phildo seems to really get the haters mad. Yeah, yeah, I know you'll all claim that you're not mad but jeesh, the evidence is overwhelming.

Also, as a neutral observer, you all seem like you are 10 year olds. Unreal.

Heard about Sarah Silverman being in the FOX booth for a BOS/NYY game this weekend, so I had to look around 2+2 for reactions...

This isn't really true. I presently have no opinion on Dids the moderator, and feel that as a poster he teeters between pretty good and woefully self-unaware, and it doesn't help his cause imo that he spends so much time being a judgebot. However, he does take a ton of **** with pretty good humor - he is basically the exact opposite of RJ - and he should get some credit for that. The issue involving Dids was with the remarkably poor way the whole modding thing was handled, and that wasn't his fault at all.

I think Dids does a really good job of modding OOTtv. Each thread is full of good discussion with minimal filler and derailment. I don't post there that much, but it is a real good forum to read through.

+1 to trolling is a part of sports and I think that the mods recognize this and allow it at levels that don't get out of control. If there is a poster (see: keevin33) who obviously is here to provide nothing else except pointless drivel, lol x, etc. with every post, they should be banned. I don't think it's a very hard concept to understand, and as a result I'd also doubt the quality of the hockey (and most others that I read) threads in this forum could be matched elsewhere on the net.

As nice as chrome seems to be, the one thing that tilts me to no end is not being able to highlight text and hit CTRL+B or CRTL+I, etc. to bold or italicize it. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but that really sucks. Don't get me wrong, firefox also has its drawbacks but that's a pretty nice feature imo.

What is this nonsense about a team getting swept in the playoffs (I previously used the term brutally raped) and yet still being better than the other team? This is the NBA not the BCS. The goal is to win a championship.

What other two words better describe what the Mavericks did to the Lakers than brutally raped? They took every last piece of dignity from that group of players.

I have no interest in unilaterally policing language and personal expression. I do, however, reserve the right to pass judgment about how other people use language. So, go forth, express yourselves freely -- but maybe first consider what anti-rape activist Sandy Brindley tells the Guardian: "Rape is so particularly traumatic and so meaningful in so many ways, that there's something about using the word in other contexts that diminishes the reality of it, and the impact it has on women's lives."
Personally, I hope that you are raped, so that you may have a better appreciation for the verb and more insight on whether or not it should apply to sporting events.

Firefox used to (before the upgrade to 4.xxx) have that photobucket add-on. Such an easy way to save pictures online...

I'm pretty much using chrome until something like that comes back.

lol child please.

Only went to university in Hamilton btw, although my mom and dad both grew up there. I was born in Calgary but I've grown up in Burlington. Home of Jim Carrey, Ryan Gosling, Jillian Barberie and dkgojackets' favourite band Silverstein!

No offense but if they ever hold 'Jillian Barberie Appreciation Day' in your hometown I'm going to steal a B-2 and carpet bomb the place right off the map.
