Jetto does things like randomly post "Manu Ginobili is a better basketball player than Mike Bibby" totally unprovoked on a night when neither team is playing. I find it hilarious and feel that anyone who gets as angry as they do with him has lots of problems and should probably look into therapy.

Yeah I have no idea how a sentence like that could get anyone angry. Do we have some angry Mike Bibby fans?

It isn't those posts, it's when he acts like the Lakers/Spurs/Knicks losing is just a catastrophe for an impartial NBA fan like him.

Those are great though! He was completely heartbroken when Ginobili went down, his passion is admirable.

Re: SE FAQ and QQ'ingblog

Aaaaand once again: if you have a problem with a Clark post or a Jetto post, why not link it in this thread and talk about what you find bad about it?

Here's my impression of Jetto from reading mostly TZ - he's a lot of captain obvious mixed in with a lot of casual fan, but that in and of itself isn't bad. The biggest thing with his CF.jpg tendencies is that he buys into these really dumb storylines about the awesomeness of the Spurs/lakers, and then he constantly posts about them while denying that he's a fan of these teams.

I'll look for examples, maybe I'm off base.

EDIT: His posts in the politics forum are a good example of what I'm talking about, but I won't repeat them for politarding. But it's basically this - most of his posts aren't just "obvious" - it's more like they're just cribbed from whatever newspaper or sports announcer he comes across. He's a parrot.

If tonight wasn't an off night, we'd all be watching basketball right now.

I was doing an IP search on a poster. It turns out Clarknasty, Eyescrew, and GREEAR are all the same person.

What ever happened to the ignore button? No one wants to use that anymore? Just gotta yell for bans on every mildly controversial poster? Can't do anything yourself?

?

It's pronounced like "jif". Period. The end. That's final. End of story.

You disagree? Hey, I'm just quoting the inventors of the format. Here's the evidence:

CompuServe used to distribute a graphics display program called CompuShow. In the documentation for version 8.33 in the FAQ section, it states:
The GIF (Graphics Interchange Format), pronounced "JIF", was designed by CompuServe and the official specification released in June of 1987.

There, straight from the inventors of the format.
