those people left bbv4l and made their own forum, which was the right thing to do. and a lot of them got banned over here for the same reason as these guys are getting banned now - they had a place to post with people they liked more, there were a lot of people on 2p2 they didn't like, so they messed with 2p2, and got banned.

you make believe like these people never posted about anything else besides basketball, which is pretty typical of basketball-only posters. but they did, a lot. maybe you missed it when pretty much all the same people were all 'lol at people who got their money locked up in poker sites'.

i mean, i'm in the skype chat, but I sign on rarely. I was wtf'ing about the rat is dead stuff too. I even kinda fell for it, though I suspected it was some joke like rat saying he'd quit life/2p2 if the habs lost to the bruins.

poor taste? sure. but at no point did I think it'd result in a bunch of long bans. if you wanna be a stickler, give 'em all a couple days and vic a couple weeks for completely disregarding the rules. a week each and perma? christ.
if it's not this, it'll be something else. victor has been a caricature of himself for months now, and i rarely read anything about the nba.

Not really mild. It's someone's potential death, and then ****ing with the forum playing that he's not dead. That kinda stuff is far beyond trolling.

victor being perma'd concerns me. little communities outside the confines of SE doesn't.

i mean jesus, the guy posted "gg life" (something I hadn't realized) and then disappeared. it's actually a funny gag, albeit a dark one.

Why? If you think you're in danger of being next, let me ask you this, have you been a continuous pain in the ass across multiple forums from basically the word go? If not, then don't worry bro, you've got a long way to go before you reach that point, no matter how many times you call people "dumpy".

clark called him dumpy. i called him fat. i got the axe. standard.

and no, i mean in the sense that i enjoy victor's posting in nba threads, even accounting for some of his super bias against the Cs.

Re: SE FAQ and Foodblog

They all have contributed in NBA threads as well as other threads around here. Yes they can joke here and there, but a lot of posters do the same around here.

Please look over the banishments. It's not like SE will magically be better around here with them gone. in fact, It'll make it[SE] worse.

I Do think though that BFace, C-Vigg, Vic and Fly rat are all excellent users who contribute something valuable to these boards. I want to see if we can find a way to lessen the ban or even lift it for those users. I would PM tuq to see if this is possible but I feel that it would do jack****.

I am hoping we can see these users post sooner rather than later. Let's see what we can do to get them back and hopefully we realize that maybe the ban is to long or unneeded.

greer does far worse than Victor or anyone else that got banned. greer trolls nonstop while Vic/ the rest of the crew actually posts on topic and contributes to the topic.

Victor got himself perma'd. tuq posted "if you break the ban you will get perma'd" and he broke the ban. Victor fell on the sword.

There is a difference between LeRat making a morbid joke and a bunch of posters consistently conspiring to troll because they are bored.

Re: SE FAQ and Foodblog

yeah fine, but it's a dumb thing for a mod to be able to do. "anyone disagrees gets the perma." gmab. we get it tuq. you got the power.

the bigger crime is le'rat got perma'd.

Re: SE FAQ and Foodblog

Let's not lose sight of the fact that knowing Victor, publicly posting that breaking the ban == permaban is practically daring him to do it, especially after a weak ban to begin with. Whatever, ban him if you think he's detracting from the forum, but let's call it like it is.

This is a pretty excellent microcosm of the SZ crew's posting recently.
