What does the SD card have to do with rooting?

speaking of SD cards, mine stopped working. wtf is with that? (it says it needs to be reformatted, and I lost all my pictures and info from that card now).

holy ****...I've just changed my 5 year plan. That is so sick...but there's gotta be a catch somewhere, right? high taxes? gutted on inside? need of multimillion dollar renovations? bad lolneighbourhood?

lots of ways, could have physically damaged it, virus, magnet or something, or just something really wonky. Probably nothing you can do to prevent it. Could just be a bad SD card.

I don't watch VEEP regularly, but when I do, I enjoy it.

Since you have an unlimited data plan, free tethering is the main benefit for me. Ability to use your phone as a hotspot for tablet, laptop, etc. You can bring a tv and xbox to a tailgate and play xbox live if you wanted. No need for a data plan for your tablet. Use your laptop to surf while on a long distance trip. Wifi hotspot for your laptop while in an airport/hotel without wifi. Dont need to pay for wifi while in vegas. Power goes out at your house? Still have wifi.

Next best thing is removing all the bloatware that slows down your phone and drains your battery. Download titanium backup, freeze all the apps that you never use but run in the background.

Also when you get more in depth flashing new roms to completely customize your phone homescreen/lock screen/app drawers/launchers.

not more than $10/month. Depends on provider.

I don't think there's a charge for tethering but if you have a data plan then it would probably crush it pretty quickly.

When I went from droid on Tmo --> iPhone on Verizon the free tethering was the best part of all. So useful. Bought a Wifi iPad instead of a 3g one due to tethering.
