Eh, I obviously get why my post comes off as sardonic, but I was being pretty earnest. I found the "LOL X" threads hackneyed and even a little prosaic. Numerous people seemed to want an LOL BIG EAST thread though so perhaps a dialogue should be opened between detractors and proponents.

I believe that if the posters want to laugh at the Big East, it would behoove the mods to let them do so.

I can't speak for all the mods, but if anything in the world of sports is currently LOL worthy, it is indeed the Big East. My problem with it would be, are there any new and interesting ways to LOL at the Big East?

Agreed, would have been in the forum's benedicton if Triumph were more punctilious in this case. However, he doesn't have a history of perfunctory behavior, so I think the mods were correct in letting it slide.
