I haven't received any "whiny" PMs from Triu.mph. Haven't gotten any non-whiny ones from him either.

I do remember one time I banned epipen for name calling and he sent me a whiny IM saying that if he was banned for name calling I should also ban kidcolin for calling him a fatty.

yea that's what happens when the mods are insane biased, 2 ppl name call and 1 gets banned and the other doesn't

The reality is, as you may or may not remember I told you at the time, I saw yours and hadn't noticed his. So once you told me KC also received a short ban. At the time you were pretty happy with that.

I just found it funny that you're always railing on about people PMing mods whining about the forums, and you're one of the very few people I remember ever actually doing that.

Basically, you can call it bias if you want, but unless someone reports a post or I read it in my normal reading of the forum I'm not gonna see everything. Its impossible to read every post and I don't care to.

That was clear. I just don't give mods (or anyone else for that matter) the benefit of the doubt to identify what is or isn't "bull ****ting". Maybe in a different universe things would be different, but I'm a slave to empiricism.

I think this post in TZ captures a lot of my problems with some Epi posts:

Two references to SE memes in two words: "canadian WIL." There's nothing inherently funny about this, it's just him referencing two memes (lol canada and WIM) as if that itself is sufficient to be a joke. It kind of re-inforces the cliquishness of TZ all by itself. I do this sometimes too - cracks about self-awareness or players "actively hurting his team," but it can be tough for new posters to get a feel for when someone's being serious mocking someone for a three month old post.

Furthermore, the "canadian WIL" stuff really comes across as both Casual Sports Fan and Arrogant American. It's aggressively proud of its ignorance.

So, since we can't prove that a poster is intentionally spouting gibberish, absent an admission (and even then, how can we know?) we have no right to complain about said gibberish? I'm at least partially serious here, at what point are we even allowed to consider that a certain line of discussion is no particularly helpful, amusing or enlightening?

Does anyone have a freshman history lesson plan on the middle age Church, trade, or economic expansion? I just spent 6 hours talking to lawyers and advisors and NCAA officials. I'm exhausted and need to grade papers and have no idea how I'm going to teach a 90 minute lesson tomorrow.

I would say this string of posts also captures pretty well how awful epi is. I'm not sure if he's attempting to martyr himself, see how far he can push things or really is just this bad of a poster.
