e-peen, TuT, and Victor are the three that come prominently to mind and have already been mentioned. At some point in the recent past they stopped caring about honest discussion and started treating the forum like a chew toy. It could partially be that they seem to be posting in massive volume while being bored of it at the same time.

Your utopian view of a forum that moderates itself is nice to consider but it isn't sustainable without at least some interference. Yes, everyone has different tastes and ideas of what is "good" but it's pretty clear that a gentle hand on the wheel is better than letting the ship steer itself.

We also generally agree that less (or at least less conspicuous) moderating is best though.

this criticism coming from tuq really makes me mad tbc. he is one of the most low content posters that has ever slithered across se. his main contributions are shots at other posters via really corny jokes, bitching about the spurs and repetitive olajuwon vs drob dogma primarily in the form of one particular gif.

Huh? I have no ax to grind with you at all, and think you are often very funny. It doesn't mean that you haven't gone way overboard with certain aspects of leveling and unwelcome thread derailments. You absolutely belong in the conversation with the others.

I'd like specific example of posts that people find annoying about Epi/Vic/Tut. I know they exist, it'd be cool if we got them instead of just complaints. That way we could actually talk about the specifics of what we don't like.

So it's okay to post low-content, unfunny stuff that has nothing to do with the conversation at hand as long as your name is in green, correct?

By the way, these lame personal attacks are basically part of why I suspect nobody has really wanted to tackle this, because it's pretty clear that you'd behave like little children if attempts were made to rein in your forum ******ation. So this is hardly a surprising response.

Yeah I know what you were saying. What I'm saying is this so-called "terrible" posting and "personal attacks" are being made by both the TuT/Epi/Victor group and THE mods/people that hate Tut/Epi/Victor. I mean tuq saying these things about them is pretty much just the pot calling the kettle and somewhat unfair imo.

just search the NFC east thread for anything Tut posted in there. epipen has been the same poster for 5 years so i don't see why people are getting all upset about it now.

more to the point, the reason why people aren't coming forward with loads of evidence is because these things are subtle and across many threads and posts. the fact that a lot of people have noticed these things rather independently of one another should tell you something. absolutely no post on its own will withstand this scrutiny, nor will 5 posts.

Okay, new idea for a meme everytime you see a post you don't like respond to with "$%#%@:" than people search for "$%#%@:" to see posts by Victor/Epipen they disagree with.

You're doing a lot here to solve this problem that you so vehemently have an issue with.

You could just link/quote them here, not a big deal. No need to crowd the forum with that stuff.

id say that criteria is overly broad. just bc you "dont like" a post doesnt mean its trolling or even wrong or esp bringing the forum down.
