Rubin "Hurricane" Carter might've actually been guilty. Denzel's performance not withstanding.

But it's right there in the song, Bellow and Bradley both lied.

Boldly.

Baldly?

Anyway I don't think you want to call Jesus "Bob Dylan" Christ a liar, not really a good look in God's eyes.

i've had my parents/siblings receive jury duty notices at my home when they were no longer living there. i just ignored it and nothing ever came of it. i live in CA, and ymmv.

if you show up to the summons, there are things you can do to 99.9% guarantee you get dismissed anyway. what i told the judge was that i was leaving the country (just traveling for a week, but still technically true) in a few weeks. i mean, what's the judge gonna do in that spot?

Whatever you do, just don't tell the judge that you absolutely cannot be on the jury because it would mean you would miss the Madden Challenge.

Picked up a 4 pack of Dark Truth Stout today. Just ate a nice steak dinner and enjoying my first bottle of this stuff. Pretty good. 9.7% ABV and just a nice smoky flavor that I enjoy. Think the 4 pack was like $11.

Just yell out loud that you believe in jury nullification.

Can do better than Dewars. It's drinkable at weddings or otherwise, but try something even like Glenlivet in a similar price range.

They actually follow up on these 'exemptions' listed? Seems doubtful.
Depends on the jurisdiction. A lot of courts are setting show cause hearings to force people to explain why they missed jury duty because so many people are skipping out. Better to just show up and hopefully get out of it than to face a fine/jail if you run into the wrong judge.

11 drinks or so is pretty solid on a Monday night.

I only got called for jury duty once, when I was in undergrad and when I was abroad in AUS for a semester. It took like a dozen phone calls and emails to explain to them that I simply was not in the country, I swear they intentionally hire dense people in that office.

we are talking about scotch in a collins glass with ice and ~4oz of water right? i don't think ive ever drank a single malt with anything more than a couple drops of water or 1 ice cube.

Misunderstood your scotch expertise.

I've never drank it watered down before, but I can see Dewars as being fine for that usage.

yeah its a fairly popular bar drink in my experience. (I tended bar from ages 18-24) Scotch, ice, water, and a lemon twist. pretty solid.

Scotch is solid. I never really order it out tho, like to have a bottle for occasional drinks.

Scotch is no bourbon, but it can be quite good. Bad scotch is just undrinkable though.
