I've been an SEer for almost 6 years now; and will wander into those every once in awhile, and I just don't get how people keep up with that while still paying attention to the actual game, and other things.
I don't think in-game threads are what make SE SE, what makes SE is a commitment to logical discussion and a heavy emphasis and tolerance for trolling. But yeah, I've agreed with this for a long time, I don't even wander into the series threads anymore for the NHL, and I've never liked the Gameday threads. Chilltown is right - if you are posting and not reading you are definitely posting bad and probably making things less interesting for anyone who's reading.
