Getting this weird error (maybe so is everyone).

In the NBA draft (new one), I try to post and it's giving me the time warning but I haven't posted over an hour. I tried 2 different browsers as well.

So, I DJ'ed our high school Homecoming dance last night. I fear for the musical future of society. Some of that stuff was just awful. Some of it was ok. The formula for success seems to be to sample a simple chord progression from some 70's/80's song, slap a heavy beat on it, and have someone rap the verses and a female "sing" the chorus. And don't forget the auto-tune.

lol I have no idea what he has said, but there's a strong case to be made that we are. Music today is more diversified and more accessible than ever, which is great. You just have to know where to look.

I don't think any era had a homecoming that had music where anyone but high schoolers thought great music was played.

Hearing the music of your own youth recycled and mutilated brings a different level of disdain than simply not having a taste for a new generation's flavor of music.

And great, the internet has made music accessible and possibly more diversified. That doesn't mean that there's a tidal wave of innovation and greatness that defines a golden age.
