Man the CA Tax board is a bunch of morons or something. So I paid my 2010 taxes and a few months later ended up getting a check back from them. I thought that was pretty sweet. Now its one year later from getting that check and they claim i owe roughly that amount still for my 2010 tax bill. like WTF

i don't see how any adult can possibly watch a single movie 5+ times let alone 10. like what goes through your mind when you decide to allocate the next 2 hours of your life to a movie that you already have seen enough times to memorize the entire script?

edit- wait i watched the DARK KNIGHT a second time to get amped up for DKR. was worth it.

Short answer: It's kind of like playing golf on the same course every day, what you're thinking and following as you watch it can be different every time.

Long answer: Similar to ARC, I don't watch much television plus I really only watch college football. It's not like I never watched television, though; it used to be pretty common for me to watch between 2 and 5 hours of tv in an evening and then go to bed thinking, "Well that all sucked". If you straight up asked me if I'd rather re-watch any of the Alfred Hitchcock movies on my list once per week or two consecutive hours of prime time television for 3 months continuously, I might be able to pick out a day or two where TV would win but it'll be Hitchcock normally. There's a lot going on in his movies, and they are fascinating to think through. Kurasawa is similar; samurai versions of Shakespeare should really need no explanation as to re-watchability.

The Jason Bourne movies have pretty slick sequences and pacing plus bomber action sequences, ldo. Never watch those and then say, "Well that sucked". Comedies can still be funny. Raising Arizona and Caddyshack still make me laugh.

I've never had dvr or on-demand though (or at least used them) or HBO. I guess those could be game-changers, but at the moment I don't have time for any of it and it's been at least a year since I've re-watched anything except for musicals. Spend most evenings reading or watching videos or lectures on nutrition, neurology, and physical therapy stuff.

Just caught up on the last ~600 posts in MLB season thread. Wish I had caught some of the deleted TC posts. That dude is a raving lunatic and a TC meltdown is a truly glorious thing to watch.

I hope, wherever he is, that he sees this: lol thundercat
