People knocking drafts aren't doing it right. In the nhl draft it has been more efficient than any draft at SE. Also it has ran without the issues sarcastic rat and others have pointed out. Not to mention doing a sim at the end of it is the coolest idea ever. Id like Tzers to do something similar.

AJ is somewhat right. Drafts aren't really the issue for the people complaining about the drafts, they're really upset with the way certain people choose to contribute to the draft as it doesn't mesh with their expectations. This really falls on whoever is running the draft to make sure that they only allow in posters who will contribute to the draft in the way they desire, whether it be everyone contributing intelligent discussion or everyone just having fun out there.

I wasn't around at the time so I didn't know that, it probably was pretty tight. You guys should do it again imo drafting a whole team and see how much you guys know about players beyond the starting five.

My opinion about drafts is that the ones about sports are the best because no matter what subjective opinions and values people have you can use $tat$™ as an objective measuring stick. However when your doing drafts where people have there own subjective opinions with no objective measuring sticks and even worse feel that everyone should share there own ideals and values that's when it becomes a awful unreadable aids festival in my opinion.

There's no reason objective measuring sticks are better than subjective as you say. To me the worst draft to run on this forum would be one in which everything can be broken down in a completely objective manner.

it's notable that there has never been a baseball-related draft, and there's a good reason for that.

Drafts are getting stagnant because of the lack of in-depth discussions. I'm not sure how to remedy that tho.

If you want in depth discussions on a topic for a draft, run the draft and hand pick owners who you feel will contribute in depth discussion or have shown a track record of doing so, and at the same time refuse to let in posters who have proven to derail this type of discussion. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for those who are running drafts in the future to establish from the start the vibe/level of contribution they expect from people participating.

Iono draft history doesn't seem to back that. For instance let me give you an accurate transcript of what's going on.

"I take pauly d"
"Lol at you"
"You mad"
"No you mad show your work"
"Haters gunna hate"

That overview would make me think that your complaint is more with what you perceive to be the quality of contribution rather than the fact that people are sharing subjective opinions instead of objective ones.

I say we do another SE poster draft then put a hiatus on all drafts for 3 months or something
