I think football season is OK in some situations. Late Fall is one of the best times to have a wedding in the South, so I think holding it on a day of an off week of the biggest local team or early in the season when SEC teams are playing the Georgia Southerns of the world, is fine.

Bowl Season or Conference Championship season is a terrible idea. People will just not come.

Interesting.

ideal wedding months are may and august. not too humid and also void of any MAJOR sporting events.

I set my house at 72 in the morning ...73 later in the day. 70 at night. Literally can't fall asleep if it's higher than 70 at night.

My neighbors seem to set their **** at like 75-78 which is absurd.

My sister's wedding was dry. Dry weddings where you have to deal with all of your relatives (and "when are you two getting married?") sober are the WOAT.

The people that own the venue, which is a nice spot by the river, don't allow alcohol except a single bottle of champagne for the bride and groom for the toast. It's not a resort on Maui but I'm pretty sure they have double-digit weddings there every year. Can't imagine how much money they are leaving on the table with that absurd policy. This is in Southern Oregon, btw.
