I've tried (and am on) the diet, it works. The concept is that you eat fatty foods, and your body says "Yep, i'm full" and closes down until it's done digesting.
Few notes:
1) Alcohol is bad mkay, unless it's vodka but even then you should only do it sparingly.
2) You still need to eat healthy. The only rule of the diet is no more than 20g of non-leafy carbs per day, but that still means eating vegetables (you eat a lot with this diet, but there's a lot of surprisingly good ones) and taking vitamins if needed etc.
The dude's right though. I can go a full day, get ready for bed, and suddenly realize i havent had anything to eat beyond sunflower seeds and water but i'm still not hungry.
