Also, do Vegas casinos ever refuse anyone for being too drunk? Casinos here do that, and I feel like it's a super terrible idea because all it's asking is for people to drive home drunk. The more drunk I am, the less likely I want to gamble. Maybe that's just me, but I feel like it'd be better to let drunk people sober up instead of refusing them entry.

True, but I feel like it's bad policy. I feel like most people drunk enough to be refused probably aren't going to gamble (at least here. Obviously more likely in Vegas.)

It's also saying that dealers can't realize who is too drunk to play. I feel like refusing a person to play and to drink is a far better policy than to not let a person in. If the staff inside can't tell you are too drunk, then you probably aren't.

my buddy ended up getting hammered at a casino in Niagara Falls. they "kicked him out" but said he could get a room at a discounted rate. he also said something like they wouldn't let him leave (i.e. get in his car). like, they were gonna shadow him until a resolution was agreed on as long as it wasn't him getting in his car

he ended up taking a cab home.
