I think its mostly this. I'm pretty sure I'd go to exactly as many Padres games if the tickets were free or like $5 as I do currently (a few games a year) and I only live a few blocks from the stadium (so theoretically I should be among the most price elastic consumers). At some price point (prob like ~$15 and under) the cost of the ticket becomes a pretty negligible part of the cost of the overall experience. Offering $5 tickets isn't gonna help you sell out if parking is still $30 and hot dogs are still $7 and beers are still $10.
