Even if Iverson is broke he can "write a book", basketball camps, appearance fees etc. NBA also has a retirement fund for ex-players iirc. Ex-wife can go on Real Housewives of Philly.
I think Real Housewives has an Atlanta version which is their token black series. Basketball Wives probably doesn't pay as well, but might be her only option

not quite. plonker implies more of a loserish quality. a wanker can be a winner (not necessarily tho)

as far as i understand the concept of guidos they would be a subset of wankers under british classification.

1. wanker

While "to wank" means "to masturbate", the term "wanker" is seldom if ever used in British slang to denote "one who wanks". It is quite wrong to infer from somebody's being a wanker that they in fact wank (and vice versa), but of course, fair to assume they do in any case. Herein lies the genius of the insult: if you call someone a wanker, it's probably true, but only literally.

sounds pretty damn arbitrary, it's all about usage I guess

I am a Euro transplant that was in a frat in college in the US

the stereotyping is very different in Europe, seeing how as PHB mentioned, the limited exposure of most Europeans to frat stereotypes stems from movies like Road Trip

"Wanker" is a synonym for "a British person" imo. Especially if they disagree.

I would tend to agree however it sometimes varies in usage and intention

A couple of Australian guys I knew in college would use the term wanker as a term of endearment

Might be a British/Aussie thing though

To clarify; "jerkoff", "douchebag": also synonyms for "a British person".
