I've just had enough of fat people. How about fat people? It's your one body, your life, yet you destroy it to the point where you will die early. I see people every day who are just grossly obese, how do you let that happen to yourself?
Almost every fat person says they want to lose weight; are you waiting for some next life where everything is easier and the pounds melt off while you punch microwave buttons? When I see fat people out jogging or even walking I almost want to go up to them and encourage them, it would be weird and awkward but I still want to. They are doing it, trying to tame the fat. Almost like addicts at rehab. OK, you ****ed up your body, now you are doing better, good on you.
There are all sorts of jags people can go on about fat people, but my main one is why let yourself get hugely fat? I got kind of fat in grad school. I'm 6'2" and got up to like 220, then I got pissed off and dealt with it and am down to about 185-190. The secret to my weight loss was more exercise and eating healthier, I should write a book.
I've been fed shots since about noon so I'm a bit drunk, but I'd love to see some rants about fat people, or rants about how being fat sucks and you can't do anything about it. Or you can just curse me and name me craven.
To add, I think what finally set me off today was the fat person in the motorized scooter at Fred Meyer (a grocery store for you EC). Hey, if you lost weight you could actually walk to your ice cream freezer. What pride, what manhood do you give up when your response to someone asks you why you are in the scooter and you respond, "Well I'm fat."?
I have a vague memory of Jon Stewart on the Daily Show a few years ago citing a survey that something like 35% of 'Murricans get NO EXERCISE WHATSOEVER. Tom Brokaw's greatest generation would have something to say about that between drags of a Lucky Strike.
40 degree days got me thinking...if there was ever a wire draft where people drafted either wire quotes, or wire scenes/videos, it would be pretty awesome.
is there a list of the best wire quotes somewhere? i'm gonna go look
A solid 70% of my posting ITT is while at work. Unfortunately I'm not in an industry where I can Mad Men style knock back a casual 6 cocktails while at work.
