You know if this is also true for dogs? Our dog had the equivalent of ACL surgery a little less than a year ago and the vet told us to give her fish oil with her food once a day. It doing anything for her?

When we got her she had a bad coat, with a pretty big bald spot on her leg, and we gave it to her and her coat went back to normal. Might have just been the food, though, since she was obviously malnourished before.

Wait, so you think I posted that Dr. Pepper picture because I was suggesting it was a health food?

Do you just lie in wait for **** to get irate about?

To be clear: Sugar is bad for you, you shouldn't eat too much of it. High Fructose Corn syrup is bad. Eating too many Apples is bad. Eating too many cashews is bad. Limit your sugar intake for fun and profit.

Regarding HFCS, the worst part (and as I understand it this will happen with any sugar more complicated than Glucose and administered as syrup) is that your body doesn't register the same "full" feeling that it does with glucose (this is because fructose doesn't stimulate the production of insulin). This can cause people to overeat if they aren't carefully watching their diet.

and then post a picture of dr. pepper with sucrose that does indeed make it seem like you think sucrose is way better for you than corn syrup.

food manufacturers would be putting sucrose in everything if high fructose corn syrup had never been invented and americans would be just as fat.

It's about 5-10% better for you, but I doubt that matters for most of us. Since we can safely assume I didn't post that picture because I think Dr. Pepper is a health drink, it's safe to infer I meant it tastes awesome (which it does).

Before this goes any further, I should point out I don't really believe it's the "best drink in recorded history" either, I was just exaggerating because it tastes really good.

Maybe, maybe not. HFCS has historically been cheaper (Thanks to corn subsidies aaaaaaaaaaaaand we've come full circle), so food manufactures were happy to toss HFCS in when sugar would've been too expensive. Recently, the cost of HFCS has dropped sharply, no idea why, so that's less applicable now.
