It really isn't. We basically just had very few worries, knew we were smart, and knew the school cared about its reputation. Also, we took a bunch of AP classes and dominated the tests, had the most National Merit Scholars in the state, and sent more kids to top 10 US World News schools than any public school in the state for a few years running and the school really really really cared about its reputation which is basically the only thing that allowed us to get away with this. If they didn't care about their reputation they fail 5 or 6 kids who are going the furthest with the idea and the whole thing unravels. That said, we did worry about the kids who did all their work and looked down upon us forcing it all to unwind.

If you got two Cs you got kicked out, and you had to take IB level courses for basically every class. If she had gone to Michigan instead of Princeton, she would have entered school with 2.5 years of college under her belt.
It was nuts, she studied way more than me when we dated in high school.
