My moral beliefs are completely irrelevant when it comes to this area of public policy. It is none of my business who marries who. It shouldn't be government's either. The idea that heterosexual marriages are somehow cheapened by allowing gay marriage is obviously very silly.
It's none of my business if you want to play poker online either. How I feel morally about it doesn't matter (I bet you can guess how I feel about poker though). If no involuntary third party is detrimentally affected by the policy, then there should be no government intervention.
