Mellow Mushroom is pretty ****ing good imo and a clear step above all other college-town pizza options (Lexington, KY not exactly a pizza hotbed so take it fwiw)

So yeah I'm a Christian and believe I'm saved through the sacrifice of Jesus. If that changes how you feel about me, so be it.
Not a good look

If you don't like GOT then **** yourself.

Reading the books before seeing the TV show is a bad idea. From everything I know the TV show is >>>>>the books.

also lol at the people lol'ing at karak

seems possible to believe in something that doesn't exist and still derive value from it if it helps you cope with unpleasant topics like death and whatnot. of course SE only sees one side of the coin per usual and everybody sheeps to the same side of the topic in disbelief.

Nah, its more like 4th down decisions. We all know we're right and have no other outlet for managing the exasperation.

not reigniting this debate but no one thinks he's not "deriving value from it".

I'm through the first episode of season 2 of GoT. Show is solid but not at breaking bad level.

Still amongst the best tv shows I've seen though.

it's funny because i was going to mention 4th down decisions as an analogy.

like you all know how to read the chart but that seems to be the same approach most of you take to life as well when life can't always be quantified by charts. sometimes people are different and pick different paths for reasons that suit them better than you and it seems that the vast majority of SE not only fails to grasp this but believes the opposite.

i'm not re-igniting the religion debate, it's just that there's this socially conformist mentality around here that is lol to me. religion prob not the best example to deliver the point but it comes up subtly in a plethora of other ways.

sounds like the rationale that a user of homeopathic remedies would use. 'doesn't matter if something is true, what matters is if it works for you.'

I don't believe in it because it makes life "easier" and because it "helps me cope" with difficult topics. I believe in it because I genuinely think it's true. It certainly doesn't make life "easier."

lol at thinking that all Christians or even all denominations condemn gay marriage or anything else. Some people in just about every sufficiently large cross-section of society have beliefs that the more liberal, young, educated crowds think are terrible.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog & Christ Baiting

April and May might be my favorite months of the year. Getting warmer but not too hot, everyone excited about the sun coming back out, girls getting out their sundresses, games of pickup soccer, grilling out on the deck. Think you have to go May if you're only picking out one month, but it's carrying forward the momentum that April and late March begin.

May is probably the nut low sports month though. I guess July has an argument for being worse, but thats it.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog & Christ Baiting

April also has significant sports upside compared to May. Tournament winding down, baseball beginning, a full month of crunch EPL games and Champions League ties. Just a solid month.
