Wow. That may be an even worse inadvertent diss than the "I thought Franchise was Canadian" thing from the weekend.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog & Christ Baiting

So what's everyone's favorite Bisco gimmicks? The definition of a gimmick being "a rarely occuring event (possible one-time thing) that deviates from a regular show"

I have it:

1. Full rock opera performances
2. The Perfume
3. NYE countdown jams
4. Movie jams
5. Tractorbeam
6. Roulette shows
7. Palindrome sets
8. The classical set
9. "History of Bisco"
10. The drum-off

infinity. The battle of the bands

I like Bisco's very rarely used gimmick of "playing good music".

Season 3 of Go(A)T just started in the UK. A much more important day in my calendar than easter.

Also how can Ray be so consistently terrible in every single post. I know his awfulness gets a lot of attention already but Jesus.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog & Christ Baiting

Since no one else is commenting, I'll elaborate with my thought process.

1. Full rock opera performances - I'll assume that no explanation is necessary. For the record, I would be more excited to see the Chemical Warfare Brigade rock opera than the Hot Air Baloon rock opera.
2. The Perfume - GOAT concept, GOAT execution. It's incredible that I actually prefer some of the Perfume's alternate versions to the original bisco songs (the "techno" I-man, the "dub" Pilin it high, etc.)
3. NYE countdown jams - An awesome tradition. The happiest moment of the year is right when the jam hits the peak and they begin counting down to the new year.
4. Movie jams - Akira > Run Lola Run > koyaaniqatsi > Alice in wonderland > Charlie brown
5. Tractorbeam - purest form of Bisco, really.
6. Roulette shows - I got to see one (08 winter tour, I think) and it rocked. Bisco is the only band with the balls to let the audience pick the next jam.
7. Palindrome sets - Awesome concept, meh execution. Aside from 5/1/99's The Overture -> Basis -> Vasillios -> Basis -> The Overture, they haven't been that great.
8. The classical set - cool little set, but I wouldn't want it to be the norm
9. "History of Bisco" - Was hilarious, but people pay to see Bisco jam, not talk.
10. The drum-off - meh

infinity. The battle of the bands - Great idea, WOAT execution

In defense of karak, he is far from an overt bible thumper. We have extremely differing views on religion but rarely does it come up as an issue. He doesn't force his beliefs on anyone and he keeps his faith as a personal matter.

I like to lol at crazy religious people as much as anyone but karak does not fit that stereotype.

I am still a pretty awful Christian for a lot of reasons, but we are saved by faith not deeds. I've done an especially awful job of showing it on 2+2, and hopefully I can change that.

So yeah I'm a Christian and believe I'm saved through the sacrifice of Jesus. If that changes how you feel about me, so be it.
