But for reals when I get sushi I usually get Spicy Tuna+ Specialty roll+ ginger salad(amazing). If you're not into rolls that are strictly raw they should have some that are fried/bakes like the Volcano Roll.

The kicker is that if you don't eat all of something they charge you quite a bit to entice people not to waste food. So if you go with friends that like sushi and would eat the rest of a roll you don't like it could be a good idea.

Nah, take her to Taco Bell and then go to a basketball game.

generally all you can eat sushi places charge you if you don't eat everything to prevent you from just eating the fish and leaving the rice because they would lose money if everybody did that.

ime most all you can eat places are awful anyway.

I'd certainly never order a California roll in public.

Most are, I'd think.

Some around here are really good, though. Some of them also restrict the menu. There's two that are really high quality that offer it around here.

edit: Although one of them charges extra for any special house rolls. The other you can just write in any roll on the menu.

You know you're at a crappy restaurant when you get charged more money if you don't clean your plate.

The Queen song Flash, is awesome. I thought the movie Flash Gordon would be worth seeing based upon that. Do NOT do that. Do see Ted, though.

best sushi in ATL by value? I went to MF Sushi once and while very good and fresh its VORS isn't worth the cap hit. I found Czar Ice Bar to be surprisingly good given its location and style. Everything else I have tried has been pretty much the same mediocre quality. Not bad, but never worth seeking out either.

i've never been to one that lets you order off the menu. i imagine they have to be more upscale than ****ty buffet places i've eaten at.

Sushi places are pretty much the best places to order off the menu. Never know what got dropped off randomly or whatever their supplier might have caught.

fwiw i actually meant "from the menu." all my all you can eat sushi experiences have been at buffet places which probably explains why they were bad.

but yeah the best sushi meals i've ever had have all been omakase.

Whoever took shots at Dave's hot sauce was spot on, that stuff is trash. I honestly don't know why you would buy it beyond being something for bets.

Pro tip for you kids still in undergrad or that age: only buy the refrigerated salsa. Trust me on this.
