Didn't want to get up from my bunk. Did have to put shoes back on, though. I have on one white sock and one black sock.

Spoiler:

Edited in spoiler due to large pic, pic large because I didn't realize imgur doesn't autoresize

Hope spoilers help, just realized I don't even know

if i plan on living in new york someday, should i put aside 2k a year for tickets? police seem really aggressive (and the tickets seem more expensive) or dnh is pretty unlucky.

If you plan on living in NYC, do not drive a car. At most just leave one in a garage or something and drive it only for leaving town.

true wrt driving, but dnh also got ticketed on the train as well, and i imagine there are plenty other ways to get ticketed. Police just seem like they may have a stick up their ass in new york. The things i got away with in california growing up... Id have probably got into trouble a bit, if i grew up in NYC instead.

Yes. That's why is said at most. I guess I should have better worded the all or nothing way to have a car in NYC. So I didn't mean, the most you should spend is a garage. I meant, at most, your NYC car experience should be an escape car, not a city car. "most" is referring to time and effort spent with car, not money.

meh, I'm kinda running bad atm, although I guess people have their stories (friend of mine got ticketed for running down an up escalator at Penn Station when he was 18, facebook friend/enemy recently complained about getting a ticket on train at 3am for going in between cars). Those T intersections are kinda rare as most of the intersections are 4 ways, so parking in front of curb cut is usually an auto ticket. Obviously the people should know the rules if it's their job though.

As far as having a car, it depends on where you live but there's a good chance you won't need one. Basically if you're in Manhattan A) you can get anywhere on the subway quickly and B) it's a huge pain in the ass to park on the street so if you have a car you'd probably need to park in a garage which is obviously expensive. I live in Brooklyn though and in my neighborhood it happens to be very easy in general to park on the street, so I have a car for now

I love those guys

"I am selling candy not drugs to help put some money in my pocket. I got Welch's fruit snacks, 2 for 1 dollar, Nature Valley bars, Famous Amos cookies and peanut M & M's, anyone care to buy"

damn that guy pulls in 55k per year, lol

http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2011/12...on-the-subway/

The most creative homeless guy I saw had a playlist of songs that he could sing, asked these 2 women to pick the song, they chose My Girl. He had a good voice too.

i was in nyc last weekend and on the subway some kid started playing a harmonica and some crates+parts of the subway as drums. it was pretty entertaining and afterwards he collected money. he probably got $15 playing for like two minutes.
