What a truly amazing morning in the land of the sun, mother earth awoke with fervor today! My wife Lori and I set out for our daily 3:15am bike ride and knew this one would be outstanding. The crisp AM air rejuvenated my soul as I coasted down the hill to the beach, the beauty of the land kept me smiling wide, bugs and the occasional bat relentlessly smashing into my refrigerator door-sized front teeth, dying.

Ahh the San Diego beach, the most pristine and glorious beach in our solar system. I see the Gulf of Mexico, tiny as a tear, the coast of California! As I hobbled down the steps toward the water with the nauseatingly awkward gait of a crab half-eaten by seabirds I see that Lori is already in the ocean. She will stand in the sea with her body like sand, and the dolphins will come kiss the palms of her hands, as she opens her soul to the water and land, her smiles will color the sky.

The sky! The intensity of the sunrise! Not since the intensity of the famed Nobel Prize winner and NBA champion Dr. Jack Ramsay have I experienced such force. I recall a practice in Detroit when someone missed a layup where they should have dunked the basketball. Dr. Ramsay would have none of that and put on a dunking display the likes of which have never been seen! “This is how you dunk the ball! See?! See?!” he exclaimed as he threw down windmill dunk after windmill dunk with the power of the Hammer of Thor. Now Dr. Jack Ramsay is only four feet five inches tall, but his 65 inch vertical leap was on display that day as we watched a plaid-slacked banshee flying through the air in that practice gym in Detroit.

I thought of making a Bill Walton gimmick but lost interest.

I'm sure they all wish they were in Middle of Nowhere, Canada, right now. Instead they're stuck with 80 degree temperatures and beaches. ¡Que lastima!

I live in a very natural geographical area. They wish they could live here instead of on some long small **** inferior part of Mexico.
