Do the pick threads need to be stickied?

i've never thought so but whatever, even though i think the good draft is ******ed, i can see why writeups and thus a picks thread would be real important in it

re: SE FAQ, Liveblog, Foodblog, and Forum Discussion

Thats about the only thing with the drafts that gets me...they really don't need to be stickied. I think they should just be non-existant and each person just copy and paste's their single posts that contain the writeup into each writeup ala:

Writeup 1
Writeup 2

As for to many or no-inseason, I agree that the redrafts kind of cluttered it up, but 3 at a time isn't all that bad. The inseason thing I have no opinion on. I don't think the NFL should have a draft immediately after the auction one though, but interest does seem to be there(I wanted to but backed out, for example).

i dont really understand why there needs to be repeat drafts of the same sport. for example, a wrestling draft started immediately after the other one ended, with most of the same people. i'm sure its fun for those involved, but it creates constant clutter. moving them to a lower traffic area like fantasy sports sounds like the best solution right now.

I don't rly get the point of moving them to fantasy sports. If everyone seems to agree that they need to be moved from the home page..why not just make the sub-forum?

I feel like the Good draft is moving to slow to really even have any relevance...i can't see it lasting more than a week at this rate.

i got to page two and i'm not reading any more of cinch's rambling (frankly i'm surprised anyone continued to engage him after his first 5 or 10 posts) but i did manage to catch this post:

You know, something happened during the World Series this year that really clued me in about the overly-mathematical perspective. Utley hit two home runs off of Sabathia with two strikes in the count, and I commented in the thread about how rare that was for lefty off of lefty with such a dominant pitcher. The absolute consensus on the forum was how stupid that was "and players hit two home runs in a game all the time." You know, the random two home run theory. What was really happening was that Utley owned the guys stuff in a completely unexpected way. Shut up man, it's two lucky homers. Game four it happens again, I believe a double and then a HR with two strikes in the count off CC.

When Sabathia didn't get the Cy Young it spoiled a great trivia question: Who is the only left-handed hitter in baseball history to hit three home runs in one series, any series post or regular season, off a lefty Cy Young winning pitcher with two strikes in the count? It had never happened that way. Yet it was just another random multiple hr situation on the forum. I told myself right then, "Voila, this is it. It's on naked display and I'm getting called an idiot for seeing it differently."
and i'm pretty sure he's talking about me, cause i loled at him after he wouldn't shut up about the lefty on lefty thing in the game thread. so i am probably responsible for cluing a crazy man in to the fact that math is some bull****. i gotta put that on my resume.

OMG. Thank you Needle. You are the greatest mod of all time. I will name my second born child after you. (male or female) I will have my band play songs in your honor. Hell, I'll get you the offensive line coaching job at my high school if you want. Anything for shutting that abomination of a thread down.

That thread was fun and all for a while, it literally just got out of hand. If I were in worse mood I feel like some bans would have been warranted...but with so many guilty parties, whatever, lets all just move on. Lotta bitterness in the NFL this year it seems.

lol, never even opened that thread until now. Wow did it turn a lot of solid posters into evil trolls. You should probably ban like ten people, but since it's probably too late for that just ban Phildo.
