Hoping for a Pope that's either a) entertaining or b) not actively evil. Not holding my breath.

Modernizing the position of priest, the Catholic Church's stance on homosexuality, and the Church's stance on contraception are three issues where the new Pope could instantly bring the Church closer to the 21st century. The latter two would even do a ton of good in the world.

Bleacher Report is the HuffPost of sports. Have leveraged and taken advantage of SEO the last 4-5 years to completely monopolize the top of search results pages for sports, but they are all total hacks. They pay their writers literally pennies, and they make them spit out ridiculous quotas of crap articles like "The 8 Best Wide Receivers To Wear #84 In The 1990s"

BR makes me so mad

some guy on facebook 5-6 years ago messaged me about writing for them. i did a couple football articles but they kept asking for more so i got annoyed and stopped writing. was definitely in on the ground floor and have one of the first registered accounts. may have missed an opportunity

Been writing for Bleacher Report for over a year and a half now. 222 articles, over 840,000 hits for about $160 total. I think aspiring writers see B/R as a way to build their experience and resume quickly (usually for free), so it's a win-win.
lol dude has written 222 articles and generated nearly a million page views and theyve given him $160

what a sucker

SAN FRANCISCO—Frustrated with the poor quality of lists the website’s writers have produced as of late, BleacherReport.com editor Eric Briggs threatened Monday to force the staff to rank things “all ****ing night” if he had to. “What do you ****ing think this is? It’s Bleacher Report. Pick any ****ing sports **** and rank it,” said Briggs, before angrily slamming shut the laptop of a young writer he found working on a 4,000-word feature on the legacy of racial prejudice in tennis. “I don’t give a **** if you’re tired. Rank the goddamn top 10 fingers on Tom Brady’s hands if you have to. Just **** something out, and people will click through it.” Briggs added that if he did not have 400 new lists ready to put up on the website the next morning, the staff could “say goodbye” to their “cushy-ass $5-a-post jobs.”

One forum I post on has an unwritten rule that posting a link to a bleacher report article earns you a ban. Solid rule

Apparently, Rodman is heading to Rome to meet the new pope. This pretty much confirms that Kim Jong Un is the new pope

Should be one of the immunity challenges for Top Pope. Draw up a basketball play for Dennis Rodman and he will judge who did the best job.

Last Chance Church would be incredible too. Someone could go on an epic run of head-to-head homily wins.

Saw Rodman was also on the Apprentice. Confirmed drugs and alcohol have taken their toll.

Pope being elected by God is sorta confusing. Wat. They vote on it ffs.

Enjoyed the first episode. Glad Law is back, as I was pretty upset when they all of a sudden cancelled their Baseball Today podcast in favor of a completely AIDS show hosted by Buster Olney.

Saw a funny quote today that struck me, as a former Catholic, as particularly humorous:

Quote:
Anyway, you all know the gist of Lent, I’m sure – Catholics abandon their tradition of not doing anything regarding their faith and trade their apathy in for annoyance as they commit to “giving something up” for a few weeks.
