I get happy everytime I have to drive somewhere >1hr away because that's when I listen to Hardcore History, so good. The episodes are like 1.5 hours long, I'm too ADD to listen to them at home and I don't like listening to them in little chunks.

PocketChads is a trucker?

Man that is something I've always fancied myself doing. I love driving and being out on the open road and I'm a perfectly content loner if I need to be.

Would be totally useless if my truck broke down or something as I know jack about cars.

I had an idea right after Black Friday of traveling the WSOP Circuit and being a trucker who hauls their gear and plays the events. Or trucking things from specific cities to other specific cities. I realize it doesn't work at all like that.

You could have run blocker for some alcohol bootlegger bringing back beer from Texarkana, Texas. I mean assuming you can grow a sweet black mustache.

Lots of truckers play poker from my experience actually. They are all subpar (but everyone is in the midwest). But anyway I have a "friend" (term used in the loosest way possible) who is basically the dumbest kid you could possibly be without qualifying for mentally ******ed and he was was one of my roommates freshman year except he was randomly assigned to us cuz we needed one more person in the dorms. He got expelled Freshman year after getting arrested like 6 times for the most hilarious petty stuff possible just generally being an idiot. His parents in St. Louis wouldn't take him in because of all his baggage (and warrants) and he is somehow still in the town living on couches for the last 3 years. He gets blackout drunk 6 days a week and here and there will show up at our door at 5 AM and I just feel so bad that I let him in cuz otherwise he will just sleep on our porch in a short sleeve shirt. Well anyway I have been trying to figure out his ceiling for life and I have decided hopefully someday he can be a truck driver. He can't keep a regular job where he has to show up all the time cuz he has no car and gets drunk too much. But if he can quit drinking and smoking I think he could do it. I have legitimately considered really hard calling social services to take him in or something. He isn't just a piece of **** con artist or anything he is just so dumb.

csb

He got 18 on his ACT on his 6th try

Lol didn't mean it that way he just showed up last night and it reminded me. I mean I am pretty sure I am disqualified for legal reasons so I would never pass judgment I am not even allowed to do it. Ever since I was a kid and saw those stickers on the back of a truck advertising the amount of money per mile I have been impressed. I know 3 part time truck drivers. I mean I am 2 months away from getting the most worthless degree possible I would be ecstatic if I ever got that kind of salary

I had sort of assumed the most worthless degree possible would be related to going into social work. So now I'm curious, could it be:

Geography?
Political Ethics?
Philosophy?
