Eh. It depends, really. Via the state route it's now conceivable we'll have interstate ipoker between at least 2 states by Q4 of 2013. If a federal bill passed today cards are in the air at earliest 2015. If we're going to assume no other states (or very few of the states who would have voted to opt-in on a federal compact) join by 2015, sure, federal route would likely be the best way to go. But that seems incredibly unlikely. With 2 states already in California seems to be more agressively trying to enter the market and over the rest of 2013 we'll see plenty more states at least set this in motion if they haven't already.
I guess the only real hangup is if u have a state like California get forced by the tribes into intrastate ipoker (which wouldn't be possible iirc in a federal bill)
