Agree with PHB tho, all the old-man suicide, prisoner abuse, forced sodomy, and uh, magical negros (I guess?) really add to the cheese factor of Shawshank.

this is such the opposite of a valid criticism of ACO that i'd assume you haven't actually seen the movie.

I really liked BL but I'd be hesitant to recommend it to anyone. If you enjoy walking through an art gallery for 6 hours you might enjoy BL.

It has some of the best cinematography I've ever seen though, which is enough to keep me interested. The story is not close to his best though. And Ryan O'Neal leaves a bit to be desired.

wont be a popular opinion but i think the shining is kubricks best. he also made some garbage. clockwork is insanely overrated
