The only hand I really remember was in 2005. I took $100 to play poker (was pretty busto - trip was free with gf and her parents). I played it horrifically though. It was 1/2 NL...can't remember where. I was wittled down to like $80 and got AK in late position. Bunch of limpers probably like 6 or so... so I raise it to $5. LOL. Everyone looks at me and goes "Well someone has aces" or something. Everyone folds except 1 guy. (lol @ everyone folding there). Flop comes king high with only a backdoor straight draw. All the money gets in and he has me covered. He tables K7 and has top pair with a backdoor straight draw. My AK is ahead. Turn and river both fill out his straight and I'm busto. I said something like "Enjoy your new pair of shoes I just bought you" or something and left. lol. Just massive LOL @ bumping up to $5. I WANTED THEM TO RESPECT THAT I WANTED THEM TO STAY IN THE POT.

Does your buddy also not pay his income taxes and spend time in prison like Wesley Snipes? A couple weeks ago I had to give a presentation on individual federal income tax in front of some community tax partners. I started out with a slide of the tax formula and hit them all with "Unless you are Nicolas Cage or Wesley Snipes, you start at the top with 'income from any source'". One tax partner busted out laughing and I knew I had them at that point.

My ~3rd time at turning stone in 2005, my friend and I went with just ~300 apiece. We lost that and were left in our hotel (we paid for that first) playing each other heads up for red bulls.

Last time I went to Charlestown I lost 5 buy-ins at 1/2, 4 to set over set on dry boards and 1 to a runner runner 2 outer.

2 outer prob worst one because was like an 800 or 900 pot. Had 66 in BB with like 500 in front of me. Someone raises and we go 5 way to flop.

Flop A 6 2 rainbow. I check, shorty shoves, other big stack calls, I raise, big stack calls. Turn 3, puts two spades out. I lead pot get called. River A and 3rd spade. I lead and get min-raised. I call. A3o lolz.

That trip confirmed sucked because Charlestown is aids. Last time I went to Vegas I lost my whole 2.5k gambling budget but still had an awesome time.

Is it too "I don't own a TV" of me to say that I only gamble on poker? I never spend money on games I can't beat. Are there others itt who are like me or does everyone enjoy donking off money at BJ?

I've never understood the appeal of blackjack.

I look at a night of craps or pai gow like a ticket to a show. Gonna cost some money but will be fun.

I'm the same way when it comes to other table games. I do enjoy betting on fantasy sports, and small bets on random crap during the Super Bowl.

Yeah I also play in money FF leagues but my ROI, historically, has been easily positive. I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy FF if everyone was better than me. Luckily, most people are casuals who draft half their favorite team and piss away equity.

I can't stand blackjack. All my friends love degenning at it tho. To me it's like losing money slowly and all you do is make correct mathematical decisions.

I like roulette tho because even though you have no control you can "choose" what numbers to play so at least I feel like I'm controlling something despite not. You can also Bink a big score where in black jack it's low reward.

I'll never forget my first Vegas trip. We had a Sunday night flight out so spent sunday during the day gambling. I'm down to 1 $5 Redbird so just watching my friends donk at bj.

The roulette table next to us is empty as its like 2pm on Sunday. I get the urge to put my Redbird down on my favorite number, black 11.

Nobody is sweating me and the casino is dead. Guy spins it. I see the ball. It's slowing down and I'm thinking I've got a sweat. BOOP 11! I go nuts SHIP IT BABY YEAH!! friends are like Wat, I'm like just booped for $185. I tip the guy my Redbird and take the rest. Friends try to get me to play Bj but im like **** that, I'm taking my small moral victory and shoving it up vegas' ass haha.

This was my first phone. The Nokia Brick.

I once was getting a lap dance and this thing was in my front pocket and the stripper rubbed on it and goes "OMG, is that your c0ck?" LOL. I was like "Nah, sorry." Then pulled the phone out to show her. lol. She looked around at my buddies and was like "I was gonna say...dayyyum...."

I'm the same way. I'll hang out with the friends and watch them but I don't waste the money.

This is how I feel about making small bets all night, but I do have a degen side that likes to try to quickly run my roll up big or bust similar to what Clark's friend did. Still dumb, but actually get a rush and have a decent possibility of winning real money that way.

I've had a few solid blackjack runs in the Hammond high limit room. My friend was a pretty damn good counter, but didn't have that much cash to blow, and I had plenty to blow. So he would sit there and play, and if the count was good I would continually press my bets. Wasn't anything huge, but one time we got 2 back to back shoes to +20 or better and I was firing out like $500 a hand, think I won $9k in those 2 shoes.

Best degen run I've ever had was in 2010 right after I busted the main. Couple friends and I were at Caesar's degenning craps and drinking. I win like $1k at craps, we go to high limit blackjack. Win $1200 at blackjack. I see a roulette table as we're heading out of the high limit room. $500 on 1st 12. Bink off the 9. Let it ride on 2nd 12. Boom 16. Bet $1k on 1st 12. Boom 3. Proceed to bet nothing but 1st and 2nd 12's at $500 or $1k a pop, hit 8 out of 10. Walk out of Caesar's with like $15k in my pockets.

Endless Puzzle Frenzy was always what I went for, loved that you could just speed it up to make it hard from the beginning, plus competition with friends for high scores. A bunch of people had those TI-83 Silvers that came with Puzzle Pack pre-loaded, and, of course, not everyone was always fortunate enough to have the GOAT Phoenix.

In hindsight, the best method of teaching HS/MS would have just been having the teacher get up there and lecture then giving the students literally anything else productive or educational to do. I would have read/learned/done almost anything to avoid the insane boredom of just sitting and listening in some of those classes.
