I did an exhaustive study years ago, weighing like 11 different criteria and the movie that rated the highest was Airplane!
COME AT MY EXHAUSTIVE STUDY BRO
On the director's commentary they said the studio had no interest in producing the movie after reading the screenplay. It was basically dead. Some secretary who worked at the studio liked it and asked her boss if she could send it to her good friend who was a higher-up at a competing studio and they said sure. So she did and they greenlit it and end of story. GOAT secretary.

Airplane! was actually the only other possible contender in my mind.
Never a boring night in the Needle stream. Lol. Gotta find a new game for next week though. I don't know if those that actually enjoy tuning want to continue to see Mario 3. I could be wrong on that though, lol. Maybe SMW next week.
you silly Americans probably only know the stupid tv show that was adapted from it
way not to appreciate your own GOATs. You probably haven't seen Nashville, too, even though it's something like a Great American Feature Film. They should force you to watch it like they force you to read the adventures of Huckleberry Finn
You mean you think it didn't stand the test of time, or that I must have enjoyed it a lot when I was a youngster in 1970s and now I can't change my views even though new and better comedies came?
I've never seen Mash but if you think the Bridge on the River Kwai, which is practically unwatchable, is "among the best", then I'm gonna assume Mash also blows.
