I think my favorite news item from yesterday was that as part of the "Hey, we need brown people to stay relevant" movement in the party, Rubio was planning to deliver a response to SOTU in both English and Spanish... while at the same time, multiple Republican congressmen were trying to issue their "ENGLISH IS THE LANGUAGE OF REAL 'MURICANS" proclamation.

Healthy debate is good, it sharpens the mind and lets you know what you really think and why.

Now, the difference between healthy debate and "two people screaming at each other" seems to be something of a lost distinction in this country, and I get why some people don't want to talk this stuff.

Don't think you can hate on people for a post or two during/after the SOTU though, this is a catch-all off-topic thread and if we wanted to discuss it in depth beyond that with Politics posters, we'd post in Politics.
