must be Carlin Isles. he's only been playing rugby for something like 6 months, but it doesn't hurt when you can run a 10.2 100m.

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog, & Ten Years with an 18-year old girl

randomly jumped into this thread:

girl is a must, although i am assuming at least tolerable personality. if she is just like always around and it's the same girl and there is no media/whatever to keep her entertained, that might be the worst-- but for the sake of the question, i assume she's tolerable and doesn't ask you "what are you thinking?" 27 times per day for the entirety of 10 years.

in order of importance

18 girl
5 workout room
6 kitchen (this depends on what replacement level food is)
2 doctor OR sunlight
then i GUESS 4 on the media either video games or tv shows/movies.. are we assuming here that we get some kind of standard 32 inch old school TV or something since we didn't spend the points on the 52 inch?

edit: can i spend my time asking the doctor to teach me how to be a doctor?

i think i could do without the sunlight if i had to, it really depends on how useful the doctor is and if there is replacement level health care.

the others are essentials though i think, i could maybe do without the kitchen IF there is decent replacement level food OR chipotle counts as fast food (there are some gray area things that could make this doable instead of the kitchen, but i do agree the kitchen is a good use of time).

the basketball/lifting thing is great because i already spend 90 minutes a day weight lifting/playing basketball in some way, and staying fit is a good way to stay sane. with having this + the girl i'd think the doctor becomes mandatory. then, if you use sunlight, you are left with no other media/books/internet/anything.

Agreed.

Peanut Butter Patties (tagalongs?) are completely terrible and have no reason to be sold or consumed by anybody. Shortbread>>>>>>>>those
