Maybe being nitty, but Seinfeld had live audience laughter, not a laugh track. Pretty big reason why I can tolerate it on that show. And sometimes the crowd response to a joke (like Kramer saying "I'm out," the puffy shirt reveal, etc) actually added to the show a bit. Still would have been better without it, but w/e.
The fake canned laughter that some sitcoms use is the absolute WOAT.
EDIT: I guess "laugh track" can refer to canned or live audience response, but I always thought of it as being canned. Not sure what the point of this post was, oh well.
