I mean come on... rofl is an act, almost like a stage direction in a script. And you never 'read' the stage directions in a script. The stage directions simply provide context.

of course I don't.

My team in work fantasy football was "LOL (competitor)" and one guy used to always call it lawl, and I would correct him 100%. Wouldn't have my team name selection tarnished like that.

i in-game post so much that i've been in a bar or watching games with friends and something ridiculous will happen i immediately think "lolllllllllll" but right as that starts to move from thought to speech, i realize that I should probably isntead find a creative way to put that sentiment into an actual english sentence

also lol is lull or lole as in pole. el oh el is exhausting
