dkjoe,

I'm surprised that you of all people didn't know that you can make the white area in MSPaint larger

The unique aspect of Greear is that he can jump from one extreme to the other without ever settling down near the line, it's quite remarkable

but this is pretty much casualfan.jpg or even sportstalkradiofan.jpg. although i guess it is remarkable that it is contained within one person - most fans skew to one side or the other depending on whether they are an optimist or a pessimist.

also i want to disagree with dkgo in that people who think their team is way better than it is, at the very least, usually get their comeuppance by the end of the season and that is fun. meanwhile fans who emotionally hedge by calling their team terrible when it isn't are the nut worst.

I must have a much higher opinion of sports talk than the rest of the country since it's impossible for Bills fans to have an incorrect opinion about their team. They suck, they know they suck, and sports talk is just an opportunity to vent

I know I'm like weeks late to this, but the fact that San Diego won the challenge makes me very happy. LOL **** Brooklyn.

so wait, you want to see people brag so that they can suffer, but you don't want to see people suffer on their own? or do you simply want people to be proven wrong no matter what they think?

It's not about the other person suffering - they can slink away if they like - it's about the lulz produced when their team loses whether they're here or not.

On the other side, I think emotionally hedging about a sports team is the weakest of sauces. It's [censored] sports. It's not supposed to mean anything. If you don't have the strength of character to think your team is good when that's objectively true because you can't stomach it if they lose, find another hobby. In general, I think fans should think their team is a little better than it is, because I think that's the fun part - believing that that's the case. Others seem to think the fun part is running your own team down.

I make exceptions for fans of franchises who've been beaten down, as their response has been conditioned through years of suffering.

I remember in week 14 I was talking up the seahawks, and errybody thought I was pullin' a maggert, but when SEA ass raped the 49ers in primetime, then we all knew I was in fact at the top right of the line, rather than the maggert zone.

I hope all of you consider that a lesson and never doubt my wisdom again.
