It's the only thing I remember from the first season of that show. And the old guy pretending to die.

Oh, I only saw the second season, which was HANDS DOWN the single most hilarious season of TV I have ever seen. Unfortunately only like eight other people watched which is why I'm surprised it's back (after like an eight year hiatus).

According to the preview, this season will include a fake deaf chick, Lorenzo Lamas, and most importantly the return of Ralph Garman, and the elimination catchphrase in front of a giant gilded mechanical statue is "lady justice, can I come inside of you?"

This reality show in which only one guy was real and everyone else in the house was an actor—pretty much an extended level. I found it hilarious. Not sure if I'd find it hilarious now because I laugh about 1/10th as often these days.

The Joe Schmo show I vaguely remember. Damn that was a while ago. I know Kristen Wiig was one of the actors on the show. And I remember the big dopey Joe guy with the black hair who kept saying "Wha- Wha- WHAT IS HAPPENING??" lol. And then his friend who looked like Larry from the Three Stooges. And that other little guy.

Early reality TV was pretty hit and miss. They threw a lot of crap at the wall and just saw what stuck. Remember Joe Millionaire? lol. I had a friend who went to study abroad and came back and was like "wtf is this Who Wants to be a Millionaire show and Survivor?" Neither show existed when he left and 6 weeks later they were cultural icons.

One show that cracked me up way back then was My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance or whatever it was called on Fox.

No I haven't. I should probably look into that. Especially now that I've done a bit more jazz piano, Purple Haze could be a fun project, as it's so bluesy. IIRC the only Hendrix song I've covered is Wind Cries Mary, and that's the Jamie Cullum version.
